Traksure was a revolutionary, hi-tech way to reduce the cost of motor insurance for young drivers who are prepared to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to safe driving.
Like SpeedSure, Traksure utilised GPS and GSM networks to record and transmit speed and location information. Most importantly Traksure told what the speed limit was at any given location. This allowed AXA Insurance to identify and reward young male drivers who drove within the speed limit and conversely take action against those drivers who broke the speed limit.
Traksure was developed by AXA Insurance, Celtrak and O'Reilly Cullen Insurances as a three year young driver training and management programme. In return for installing Traksure, AXA offered rates that allow around a 45% discount from current normal rates.
