European and national governments are investing in ITS to advance their policy objectives. In Ireland, the massive investment in motorway infrastructure was coupled with electronic tolling around the country. In partnership with Egis Projects (France) Celtrak provides the National Road Authority with the data management and support services to enable the interoperability of electronic tags on vehicles for road toll payment.
